Firefly Yoga Class Descriptions

Yoga 101
This class introduces a student to the basic principles of yoga with
emphasis on poses and breathing techniques.

Yoga Asana
Designed to create a keen sense of body awareness, strength and
flexibility, this class emphasizes correct form and alignment.

Gentle Yoga
An unhurried approach to yoga postures. Appropriate for all levels of
students including beginners. This class will mostly take place on the
floor, is slow moving and non-demanding on the body. This class is great
for those who are in stressful situations or have been injured. Gentle
yoga is therapeutic and relaxing.

Emotional Yoga
Designed to help heal effects of chronic stress. This class will address
emotional issues such as anxiety and depression. Emotional yoga involves
teaching the student how the mind and body are truly connected.

Level 1
This class is for beginners.  No prior yoga experience is needed. Those
with some prior yoga experience are welcome.

Level 1-2
This class is a multilevel class.  We will cover a wide range of poses, some
that will be linked together (called vinyasa).  The student will progress
safely with the teachers guidance.

Teen Yoga
This hour long class will mix energetic flow sequences with soothing
contemplative asana to give the student the tools needed to help cope
with the stressors of school, work and a social life.

Empower Yoga
A challenging class which emphasizes a faster flow, sun salutations, floor
work and arm balances.
Kids Yoga
Kids yoga offers children fun yoga classes which help develop strong,
healthy bodies while cultivating a lifetime of joy, peace and wonder.
Breath work and relaxation techniques will teach a child how to relax,
develop self control and to be gentle with others, A light, healthy snack
will be provided following class, so please let us be made aware of any
food allergies or other nutritional concerns regarding your child.
